WHAT ARE OPTIONS CARDS? Designed to teach beginners the fundamental concepts and strategies of stock options, Options Cards are sets of digital flash cards used with the free study software, Anki. WHAT IS ANKI? Anki is a free, open source digital study system that uses spaced repetition to greatly increase both the speed and amount of information you can learn over a short period of time. For years its been a secret weapon among language learners looking to learn difficult languages in the span of months rather than years. Recently, its been gaining popularity among people wishing intuitively recall large amounts of information in specialized fields such as Doctors, Physician Assistants, CPAs, and other Finance professionals. Anki combined with Options Cards Deck 1+2 will have you trading like a pro in less than a month. TESTIMONIAL "Last fall, I enrolled in the Chicago Board Options Exchange's beginner and intermediate online stock options classes. After 4 weeks of coursework I felt like I wasn't any closer to learning how stock options work in the real world. I was desperately searching online for advice when I came across this site. I purchased flashcard decks 1 and 2 and within 9 days I was looking at real options chains and applying the concepts I'd been learning to make a profit. " - Chris P WHY DIGITAL FLASH CARDS? THE KEYS TO DOING WELL IN STOCK OPTIONS TRADING ARE: 1) Being as consistent as possible in your day-to-day trading to maximize your long-term potential of success. 2) Having realistic expectations by mastering concepts like time decay, and delta, and intuitively knowing how they can affect options pricing. Options Cards Digital Flashcard Decks were made with these goals in mind. I started with fundamental trading concepts and definitions, and built upon that foundation with the more advanced concepts like order types, greeks and being in, out, or at-the-money. I then supplemented the deck with information on basic put and call strategies.  I update and add to these cards with every options student I work with, creating a growing library of the most important concepts and strategies. FAQ What is the best way to use this deck? Used daily, the Decks 1+2 are a great stand-alone resource for learning the basics, but they also pair really well with free educational resources like the CBOE’s Beginner classes and other paid courses from online educators. How many cards are in the deck? Currently, there’s over 450 cards in the intro deck. New cards are being added all the time, and I’m working on specific strategy decks that will be released soon. With these decks, I’ve taken setup time out of the equation. You just import the decks, and begin learning. What’s the best way to start applying my knowledge and begin trading options? I recommend testing the waters with paper trading. It’s available on most trading platforms. The Chicago Board Options Exchange also offers great beginners classes and a simulated trading platform.
